Natural Back Pain ReliefSelfAdjustingTechnique.comNow, we are going to show you how to do a Psoas Massage. This is not an easy massage to do. It is not something that most people know how to do and to be very sensitive. So, the first thing I am going to have Anthony do here is, while I am working on the right side I am going to have him very slightly pick up his right foot, perfect. Okay, you cannot really see that on the camera but he did not really pick it up off the floor and that is what we want and you can let it down and the reason I have him do that, is when I am on the Psoas and he lifts that, I will feel the muscle under my hand, and so that is what I am looking for.All right so, to start with, we go to this hip point right here and if you just go into the hip point and then here, fortunately he is not ticklish here too much, and go in right in here; that is where the Psoas is, one of the locations where it is. Go ahead and lift that leg just a little bit? Okay, put it back down. I am not deep enough into it. I felt it moved a little bit but he is so limber. Okay, try it again. There it is. See? Did you felt that too? He felt that as well.Okay. So, the Psoas, what it does is it comes from the spine right in through here on the inside of the spine, comes through the belly. There are several strings of it, they come together and come in to the hip point here; around the hip point to the inside of the thigh and right here; just below this hip point they dive in underneath a bunch of other muscles and so you cannot get to it anymore. This is the first, one of the best places you can get to it is right here. But another place you can get to it is where it comes in to the belly here and so, if I come in right in right in here, so it comes across here, across here pretty much and then from about here, starts the head over. So, I am going right here which at the most shallow, I can maybe get it and I am not sure I have it. Can you lift up that foot just a little bit? That is not it but I felt where it was, where it is; which is a little more in, a little more to the side. Okay, lift that leg again a little bit. There it is and he can feel it too. So, when he does that I definitely feel it and then what you can do is hold there and if they can tolerate it, go a little deeper. So, maybe I can go a little deeper right? There, and if you can tell, you can usually tell where to stop and you will feel that tight muscle and it will just be there and let them relax into it and takes a minute or two, sometime as many as three; it usually not that much. Usually a minute or two for that muscle to release, there is one release. When you can actually feel the tension, let go. There you go some more.Okay, I am not going to do anymore but that is the idea. You just hold that pressure until it releases and then you can move in and you have to be really careful not to over do it. Most people can only tolerate a very little bit of Psoas massage. So, you can follow that muscle in, you have to go deeper here. There it is. Okay, lift that leg slightly; I am wrong, I missed it. There it is. Now, lift the leg a little. Okay, there, I did. I have it. It is very deep. I have to push in much deeper for him. There, now I got it really. Do you feel it? He can tell I am on it.Once you have had your Psoas massage, you will know what it feels like. It is really good. It was really great. It is a really nice release. It releases that extra curve in the lower back. The Psoas is tight, can pull that lower back in and cause lower back problems; you release this and that lower back will just let go. Okay.
